We did not sharpen this so it is very comfortable to wear. The Jade used in this piece was sourced from our helicopter trips to our private property in the Trinity Alps area in California. We call this "RiverBlossom Jade," as the winter storms create high water that delivers the jade for us to simply pick up as the water recedes in the summer.
